Apple may soon fix this iPhone 14 Pro display issue affecting some users:
The Cupertino-based tech giant expanded its smartphone lineup with the release of the new iPhone 14 series a few months ago. Apple’s iPhone 14 lineup includes the vanilla iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max devices. According to a report by 9to5Mac, some iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users have reported seeing horizontal lines that are appearing on their smartphone screens during startup.
Apple has reportedly claimed that the issue is not a hardware-related problem but it is being caused by an iOS bug. The company is expected to offer more details about the issue and may even release a software update to fix the bug. However, the report didn’t mention if the horizontal lines on the display problem are specific to iPhone users in a particular region. In such a scenario, Apple may roll out the fix only for the specific affected region(s).
How is this issue affecting users:
iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max users have complained that the horizontal lines that are visible on their screens during startup have been appearing randomly and are also disappearing after a few seconds. Several users have also reported that these lines also appear when the iPhone is waking up. While others mentioned taking their smartphones to Apple Stores to fix the issue. Some users also hinted that this issue is related to the latest iOS 16.2 update and the problem may extend to the previous iOS builds.
How Apple has reacted to the issue:
The report also claims that an Apple Support representative on Reddit has mentioned that the company is aware of the problem and it is expected to be resolved soon with an upcoming update. Apple’s Reddit statement also adds that this issue is being caused by the drivers and is not related to any hardware.
