Nvidia's mid-range RTX 40-series GPUs have finally been released, bringing DLSS 3 and the Ada Lovelace design to a lower price point.

With the release of the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti, Nvidia maintains its consistent pace of releasing RTX 40 cards. These cards broaden the 40 series to span the $300 to $500 (24,800Rs to 41,400Rs) price range and are the most affordable 40 series cards Nvidia has released thus far. It's a significant upgrade to Nvidia's newest generation of graphics cards, making them much more inexpensive than before, since the RTX 4070 was previously the lowest member of the family at $600.

Specifications: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and 4060

When examining the specifications in a table, it can be challenging to view the RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti as budget-friendly options. Compared to their predecessors, these cards have seen a decrease of approximately 500 cores, along with a significant downgrade in memory bandwidth.

we can look at the 4070 as a reference point, as it shares the same core count as the 3070 and offers roughly 30% better performance. Considering that the 4060 and 4060 Ti possess around 85% of the cores found in the 3060 and 3060 Ti, it is possible that the newer cards may surpass the older ones by approximately 10% to 20%.

Nvidia, as they have done with previous RTX 40 cards, argues that DLSS 3 technology will compensate for the potential lack of raw power we typically expect from a new generation of GPUs. However, it remains uncertain how this will play out in the future.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB will be released on May 24th, both as a Founders Edition and through various board partners. The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and RTX 4060, on the other hand, are scheduled to launch in July, but will only be available from third-party partners.
